NEW DEPARTMENTS of ODISHA GOVT

Since FY 2012-13, Odisha Government has increased the number of departments from 38 to 40. The 2 new departments created are (1) Employment & Technical Education and Training (ETE&T) Department with allocation of Rupees 181.47 crores, (2) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department" with the allocation of Rupees 52.50 crores only. 

The vision of the first department is to equip with the youths with marketable skill sets in the context of rapid economic growth. In addition, one million youths would be provided placement linked skill training during the 12th 5-year plan. CM Naveen Patnaik is the first minister of new department ETET since 10th Feb 2012, and Mr Raghunath Mohanty is the first minister of another new department MSME since 10th Feb 2012.
