Is MALKANGIRI far from BHUBANESWAR?
Originally drafted and shared via e-groups on 19 July 2013
The INGOs or national NGOs officiating in
Bhubaneswar did not respond the recent Malakngiri Flash Flood. Because they can
not access Malakangiri through 4-wheelers to come back on the same date. It is
a big question of commitment for causes, or whatever the neatly drafted
mission/ vision statement they have on their documents and websites.
Those big NGOs (also called as donor agencies may a
time) are waiting floods in coastal areas. As per my research, there is no
chance of flood due to Mahanadi in 2013.
Risky zones are Baleswar district, Bhadrak
district, Jajpur district, Anandapur Subdivision(Kendujhar), and Gunupur
Subdivision(Rayagada). The main cause behind this forecast is severe forest
loss in hilly pockets of Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar and Rayagada districts.
Everybody knows about actual losses in Uttarakhand
flash flood. Will you donate for Uttarakhand CM Relief Fund or Odisha CM Relief
Fund?
Surprisingly
Media Organisations not yet responded to the disaster in Malkangiri for relief
mobilisations. And most of the media houses have their regional headquarters at
Jeypore town, adjacent to Malkangiri subdivision/ district.
